I think I know how you feel. My Aus identity is currently being repressed and colonised by a distinctly Danish impulse to eat greasy frefab frikadeller and smoke copious amounts of Rød Cecil. Did you know Ålesund was once given the distinction of being 'the most boring city of Scandinavia'? One of the main arguments was the fact that prizes on hotdogs and burgers double after midnight...
I think my mother has a bunch of pavlova 'eggs'. I will definately pinch a few and make one in May, when we return to Gnore.
